The Shanghai Palace is finally getting demolished...probably the best view is from Wirral, or a ferry.
Their website is still around:

FOR 87 years, the statue of King Edward VII sat on his horse on a granite pedestal overlooking the River Mersey.
Now his majesty is on his way back to his familiar spot on the waterfront after a thorough spring clean by experts at Liverpool’s Conservation Centre.
Specialist restoration work was carried out after the statue was moved from the Pier Head so the new Leeds-Liverpool canal extension could be laid.
The refurbished 16ft bronze is photographed leaving the centre before making its way across the city back to the Pier Head.
It has been restored using a combination of the latest technology and traditional conservation methods.
Created by sculptor Sir William Goscombe, the statue was unveiled by King Edward VII’s son, the Prince of Wales (later Edward VIII) on July 5, 1921.

Great Photo!
Nice picture, Greg's Dad, but do I spy a Manchester phone number on that water container?!
An outrage!
