You've captured my brother's birthplace on that last pic Joe. It was No.94 Seel Street in 1951 during a short foray away from the L3 area.

Alma de Cuba resturant and bar, the old St Peter`s church in Seel St. Built in 1788,it was given to the Polish community in 1976 and became Our Lady of Czestochowa but in 1978 it closed it`s doors.
It reopened as a resturant and bar with quite a lot of the old church still intact.

The doorman must sit here in the porch with his book on the old lectern.
It is very dark inside even with a couple of hundred candles lit around.
I used flash on only 2 pics
Fine photographs, Joe. Thanks.
Chris

Great pic's Joe! My grandparents were married there, around 1901!
That's one fancy resturant - I'll put it on my list for our next visit. Nice pics.
Thanks for your comments folks,
I`ve passed there many times never been inside before, I was the only person in there at 2pm till 2 more people came in.
It was the winner of Best Resturant and Bar in 2008,2009,2010. Don`t know what the prices are, I only had a brandy but the staff were very friendly. I was offered a special coffee made in a glass with 4 different coloured portions to sample but I had to decline as I don`t like coffee .
The building is steeped in history see

here's one just for you CHRIS when I went to school( did actually,) school started at 0850 I used to get there at 0915 after i finished my milk round just to get my name taken by someone like Oudeis being a prefect) cos i was always late, would you belive it they made me in charge of ordering the milk from the milk man ( funny same bloke that delvered for our milk round he stated picking me up and bringing me to school) but what I was going to say all my life I have never then or even now been able to pronounce my "R's" alway's comes out W's so my teacher gave me thie to learn " The Raggerd, Rasca, Ran, Round the Ruggerd Rock" still hard for me to say even today but does bring back memories
