Williamson Square Liverpool
19th Nov.
Anfield rd Infants & Juniors school. Originally it came under the district of Walton on the Hill. The bell tower is a local landmark and is said to be haunted !! :)
Hadassah Grove off Lark Lane Liverpool. This is a fascinating old street and well worth a visit.
I always thought it was cobbled. I've been there many times but you have opened my eyes with your lovely picture.
It looks like a street in Looe, Cornwall that I saw twenty years ago, nice one Taffy

25th Nov.
St Nicholas church, Halewood.
Love that photo of the town hall Philip, will put it on my photos page in my files.
Liverpool FC shop, Williamson Sq, Liverpool. Not the best of modern architecture.
Nice photo Lindylou. Many of Liverpool's 19th C great and good are buried at St Nicholas. Two come to mind William Imrie, co founder of the White Star Line and Robert Horsfall whose family founded many churches in Liverpool.

Thanks for the link Taffy. :)
Nice photo, Lindy.
St Nicholas was quite a popular name for Liverpool churches.
Off the top of my head there's Liverpool's Parish Church, the Greek Church of St Nikolas, and the Pro-Cathedral in Hawke Street.
Oh, and he was the patron saint of prostitutes.
Honest.

Yes, which became the union cold stores.
Talking of prostitutes, I saw one being arrested on Shaw street last night, she grabbed the coppers wedding tackle and I heard him say 'Come on, you're only making it harder for yourrself'.
Thanks Philip for another link and interesting info about St Nicholas :)
Nov 27th. Grassendale Esplanade.
Aintree Institute.
Yet another building that shouldn't have been demolished.

Good photo, Philip. The place though looks a mess. What a shame.
Chris
As Philip has said though, this has now been demolished, another place the Beatles played too. Just a wasteground at the moment, another one, like the Crown pub site on the East Lancs on another main thoroughfare.
29th Nov. Autumn leaves. Utting ave, Anfield.
Lovely Lindy. I used to love kicking up the leaves ( I was only 43. lol) and my Wellies used to leave a black mark around my legs.
William Brown street area.
Had doubts just after posting it that it was in fact one of mine but it turns out it is.
