Liverbird Fountain, Wavertree Park...well at least the Liverbirds' feet are still there.
Woodside Ferry , Birkenhead heritage centre
Re: Liverbird Fountain
The Conservation Museum are looking for photographs of this fountain so that they can restore it, so maybe they have some bits.
A small picture of the Liverbirds is on page 3 of this pdf page:

I wonder if the Conservation Centre is thinking of opening another part of their building as the 'Liverbird'?
They've already opened a cafe to house the Eros statue which was stolen from Sefton Park.
Mersey Road Tunnel ventilation tower near Seacombe Ferry landing stage
The building to the extreme right of that Tunnel Ventilation Shaft picture had some writing painted on the roof. I think it read 'chips 25p'. It's been a mystery to me, as it can only be seen from the river side.
We're coming to the end of the month with some dates still missing pictures.
The dates will get filled, I'm sure...I'll sort a couple of reserves out taken this year just incase.
Here's what I meant about that house with writing on the roof...chips 25p. I can't remember that far back, when chips were only 25p.
The Falkland Arms pub. This was taken in January, but it has since been demolished.
July 4 and 5 are still missing.
Just thought I'd post a pic for the 27th.
This is the little inlet known as 'the cockle-hole'
The cockle-hole is next to the Southern end of the Coburg Dock Marina. Coburg Wharf runs next to this small rectangular inlet. It's shown here, but only on the satellite picture (it's not shown on the ordinary map).

Thanks for orienting me, Marky. :snf (41):

Hillsborough memorial rose garden, Sudley House, Mossley Hill, Liverpool. Memorial sundial erected by the people of Mossley Hill and Aigburth and paid for by public subscription in memory of the 95 Liverpool FC supporters who died at Hillsborough football ground 15th April 1989.
Hey Marky, you must be young. I remember fish and chips for less than 10p new money, 1/9p old money. :)
Well I missed a couple of decades when I didn't buy chips, but I just about remember when they were priced with the letter 'd' (old pence). Just seems a little odd to paint on the roof, like that.
Pic of the Day just needs a pic for today (28th July, and then July is back into line).
You used to ask for "a 6 of chips" (6d in old money), and get them in a paper cone.
Nowadays, you ask for a small portion of chips, and get far too many (and soggy with fat!), and pay about £1.
I remember, chips 6p a packet and the bits of batter off the fish, 1p a pack, as kids we loved them, all in the old money.
Bold St, central Liverpool. This street reached its nadir by the early 1990s with many shops derelict. In recent years it has undergone a renaissance and now has quite a cosmopolitan feel about it.
South West Brunswick Dock shed.
That's a lovely picture :handclap:
Great!
The sun and the moon in the same shot! :handclap:
Hi Taffy
I didn't know about this memorial rose garden at Sudley im memory of the Liverpool supporters who died at Hillsborough. I know Sudley very well so I am pleased that the people of my old areas, Mossley Hill and Aigburth, contributed toward the garden. Many thanks for the photograph, Taffy. :handclap:
