'Misty'
Put to sleep last week. She had 'Osteosarcoma'. RIP xx
So sorry Phredd to hear that sad news about Misty. I know how heart rending it is when they have to go.
Upper Duke Street on a sunny day.
Condolences Phredd. When I lost my cockatiel after sixteen years I was heartbroken , and when I buried him in a local park under a tree the tears flooded my face and the rest of the week.
View of Runcorn road and rail bridges over the River Mersey. Photo taken from Pickering's Pasture nature reserve, Halebank.

Gym 21, Beech Street.
There is a painted over plaque on this building. Looks like Liddle or Lindle Memorial?
Great photo, Marky.
I love this building.
Here's some information.
Lundie Memorial Hall, 6a Beech Street, Liverpool. Architect: Herbert Aspinall. Opened 25 May 1907. Cost £4,000. Large hall seats 500. 12 Classrooms. Erected in memory of Dr J A Lundie, for 25 years minister of Fairfield Presbyterian Church.
Thanks for the info. So it's 100 years old tomorrow (May 25th 2007). The perfect time to take a picture of that building.

Open-top bus (CWM 154C), Mann Island.
Southport Corporation.
I worked on them, 1964 to 1967.
'Monument' is the War Memorial in Lord Street - All the buses went to the Monument.
What was it doing at Mann Island?
Liverpool FC always used them for their 'homecomings' because of the colour (and they were the only local open-tops at the time).
I'm not sure why that bus was at Mann Island, but it's the only time I've seen it there. The picture was taken a couple of Sundays ago.
Interesting Victorian Pillar Box survival in King St Garston.
