I logged-on a few times this morning to see if any times had been posted. I wasn't sure if it was a definate arrangement for today.
Pity 'cos the weather was so nice too. I wouldn't have come out if it was raining ! ha! :PDT_Xtremez_42:
Those catacombs - I remember when they were in much better condition. I don't think there's much of them left to see now ! They have deteriorated terrible over the years, mainly due to vandalism.
Hi
Check out Julies site
http://liverpooltourguide.com/default.aspx
Thanks Steve.
Yes was nice today. If you look at my site you will see what
the catacombs looked like 10 years ago, and what they look
like today. Not so much vandslism, just the fact that the council
won't do anything, they havn't applied for any funding from
either English Heritage or the Lottery heritage fund. Iam in
regular contact with EH so I know what is or isn't happening

Cameo Conspyracy Author George Skelly`s Dad is buried next to Michael Holiday. If you go, please place a flower on the grave, thank you.
St Peter's Church, Church Street contained the remains of many city-fathers. About 200 bodies were removed and reinterred at Anfield cemetery on January 27, 1868. Source.
Thomas Steers, architect & engineer of the Old Dock was buried at St Peter's.
Steve is Toxteth cemetery still open, and are the stones mostly still there?

Hi
what is the name on the stone ? steveb
He was named John Skelly.
I'm chasing my wife's ancestors (anything to annoy them :-) and have an email in to the cemeteries department right now asking for the location of a couple of Anfield graves. Maybe, seeing as how helpful you guys are, I should've come straight here!
Is it morbid to admit I like wandering around cemeteries?
(First post, so hello everyone, by the way)
