Derby Lane, Old Swan This is on the fence outside of the "One-Stop-Shop" on Derby Lane. It's a shame that some of the Purple paint has worn off, could have had a complete Liver Bird!
Loved those images Kev, was that at a Town Hall open day or something? Some of those scenes look familiar.
It was St. Georges Hall :)
Here's a couple more:
Come on, all you snappers.
I want to see photos of the Liver Birds in flight! :celb (6)::celb (6): :celb (6):
More half-naked men, Max.

...also contain the Liver Bird
Why didn't I notice they had Liver-birds on em? Tell you what, your the first one! The Liverpool streetlighting community (comprising of 5 approx) talk endlessly about how the vintage streetlighting is so great and not one of them (including me) haven't noticed the liver birds on the bollard.
I think I should have gone to Specsavers!
The Boundary Street and Sefton Street Ramp Liverbirds look like they're cast from the same mould. There are other examples of this casting along the canal.
A small Culture bid logo still exists on Scotland road (the caged-in flats in the background are due for demolition)
Found this one in Calderstones Park
1991 photo.
Now demolished.

I've only just seen this thread, great pictures everyone there's so many Liverbirds I've never seen before,I'll have to keep a look out for more.
Well it made me laugh:celb (23):
BTW, took this with my cheapo 10 meg Samsung camera. The pic may look OK, but I wouldn't recommend the camera. Best to get one with a good lens and less pixels.

Hi Kev
Nice Liver Bird pics. Where were they taken, if I might ask, Kev?
Chris
The top one was found just off Church Street, one of those roads that runs through to the other side.
The last one was found in the new Radio Merseyside!
Took these today - don't know how many times I've walked past this and not noticed it - that was until I did see it yesterday!
Its on the corner of Fenwick Street and Moor Street (I think). Obviously its for the Liverpool Union Bank Limited - I know there's a Liver Bird in the centre of the design but are they Liver Birds on the upper freeze?
What do you reckon?
Ah.... I thought I had posted the previous post so that the pictures were embeded in the mail. How do I get them to embed rather than post as attachments?
Greatful for any help...
An amazing photograph, PhilipG! I love it! Bravo!
Chris
The pic of the Cunard War Memorial and the Liver building is a classic. I've seen others around, plus my own one. It's one of the best angles to get two Pier Head statues into the same frame.
