I took a photo of him a couple of weeks ago ,I've never seen him play as everytime I've gone past him he's standing over his case trying to get his violin out

Liverpool busker by exacta2a, on Flickr
Seen in Church St today, couldn`t play at Wimbledon so picked a "racket" in Lverpool, the 17th string was a bit flat though.
Hi Joe
Is that just a gag or does he actually get some sound out of it?
Chris
He's trying to copy 'plink plink' - the famous cardboard guitar character.
See the cd player on the floor Chris, the funny thing is,the tune coming out of it was Acker Bilk`s "Stranger on the shore"

Harry was born in Glasgow.. he topped the bill at the Glasgow Empire after the war
as a child performer under the stage name of 'Boy McLean'
Harry passed away in 1994 in a West Yorkshire nursing home.. he was 74..

Very fine, Joe and Gerard. I had seen that photograph of Jacko performing at the Eleanor Rigby monument but Gerard's photograph of him is new to me. As you say, Gerard, there is a story in those eyes.
All the best
Chris
Thanks Chris, that photo Chris was taken outside Mother Care on Whitechapel.
Not long after Jackson was beaten up by low life and was almost left for dead..
he was in the Royal for a long time and later a nursing home..
he's out now... or was, I'm not sure how he is or where he is
as he has not been seen around the town for a long while.
talking of which...
I'm off out... to capture Liverpools past today..
Cheers Chris...
Gerard..
In Jacko's Eyes
As you say, there's a whole world in there.
In the photo, he's unshaven with battered
straw hat, smoking a filter-tip cigarette,
his white eyebrows shooting out wildly.
We remember him at the Eleanor Rigby statue,
on the bench sitting next to her bronze figure,
strumming his cut-out cardboard guitar.
"Ah, look at all the lonely people!"

Thanks, Gerard. I thought you'd probably like the poem.
Chris
Thanks for the pics GD and Gerard. It saves me the job of hunting for a pic :)
I was going to try and find one to post up after I'd mentioned 'Plink, Plink'
I think this fella is good ......he just stands or sits for hours :)
