I know this is unrelated to anything that has been discussed, but I was wondering if anyone knew of where the best places to watch the match on Sunday would be as an Italian fan? This website

recommends the Italian Club on Bold Street but I thought it was closed in the evenings?
If anyone else knows of any Italian bars or restaurants that will be showing the game please let me know

I've just googled where the best place will be to watch the Italy v Spain match on Sunday and apparently it's the Ernst Happel stadium in Vienna. I've got Germany in the works sweep so i'm quite happy this morning :)
Thanks for the reply, whilst I agree that Vienna would be without doubt the best place to watch it, I was thinking more in and around Liverpool, although if anyone has a ticket going for the Ernst Happel Stadium then please let me know!

Have you seen the book by our friend David Charters called Liverpool A world in one city. There are a few pages concentrating on the Italian community with a dateline mentioning that in 1919 Gabriele D'Annunzio captured Trieste from the Austrians. Always in trouble your lot :)

I took your advice , while in Liverpool, (found by accident)..Piccolinos... My mate, Robbo and I, had two children with us.. and looking for a place at night to have a drink and chat was difficult.. So, a nice man at Blakes, told us to go around the corner and there it was" PICCOLINOS.".and they allowed children ...
The next day, I went for a classic italian..pasta and salad and vino... I had just come back from Sicily.. and felt right back at home..

Excellent. I tried some of the Cheshire ice cream in Chester and it was tops.
I've heard there's a short film called 'Shadow Boxing' by Andrew Smith featuring Dom Volantes upbringing, fights etc.
love to see it as he was a friend of my great grandfather
