pic 1 - This picture shows slum clearance in the region of Back Prince Edwin St. The building in the background is the Ann Fowler women?s hostel.

pic 3 - Another shot of the same corner, note the landing houses on the left with the central steps!
pic 4 - No1 court off Portland place. This is just across the road from the Roscommon Cinema on the left hand side of Portland Place.

pic 5 - This is a photo of the club taken in 1942 after the blitz. It shows the remains of the houses next to the club. The far building on the extreme right of the picture is in Great Homer St.
This is how the archive team come across rare photos, this one was found in a bound journal of club magazines from the library at Shrewsbury School.
