Fine picture, young Dave. Any more of the Pier Head area?
:)
I a recent Echo article it was said that the new landing stage has yet to be named. Any suggestions?
I would call it 'The Liverpool Ocean Cruise Terminal', even though it is only a berthing facility. There have been suggestions of naming it for Samuel Cunard. I don't think old Sam is to well known outside of Liverpool, Southampton or Halifax, NS. Canada and even in Liverpool and Southampton one would be hard pressed to find anyone, born after 1960, who would know who Samuel Cunard was.
Another name I would suggest is 'The Princess Dianna Cruise Pier'. I'm not a royalist but she is very well known, and popular, beyond the United Kingdom.
I'll have to have think
Beatle Buoy
Berth of The Beatles.
Titanic
L.H.T.O.D.S (lets hope this one dont sink)
The Gateway to the world.
really though whats wrong with " Pier Head Ferry Terminal "

Kev im sending you some Lillies
There is only one person to name it after, not Lady Di. but a very famous world wide known Scouser.
GEORGE HARRISON.
John got an Airport so c`mon Liverpool honour our George.
Or dont you care about him.
:PDT_Xtremez_42:
Could call it the Landing Stage to Liverpool Life but then they'd close that straight away.
But why the Beatles on everything though?
We've hundreds of famous scousers - why not their names on something. :)
Yer, Like Kerry Katona, that famous scally scouse one from Atomic Kitten
