Well Philip,
What fantastic photo's, I've only popped back on here to let you know i love what i've looked at so far , i've been looking at the Bold St interveiws, enjoyed them all but especially Looks bag shop one as i know Phil & his Dad who own it ,
Philip , love the Dingle tram sheds , do you remember the name of the church a few hundred yds up towards Ullet Rd /Aigburth rd . i think it's where a Dr's surgery is now ,just before the old Parkfield Garage /auctions . what church was it ? Also Do you remember the huge victorian houses on the corner of Ullet & / the Elms / Belvidere Rd . Wonder why on earth they were demolished .
Oh found another photo i like now , Bold St in the snow , i must have a thing for photo's taken in the snow as i'm after Rodney St in the snow by Frank Green for chrimbo. Favourite so far , Park Rd again the one in the snow . :handclap::handclap::handclap:

The church was Toxteth Congregational.
Built 1871. Demolished 1971.
Here's part of an 1836 map showing Barter Street.

Hurst Street.
The streets above Hurst Street remain, but all those below were swept away, except for Duke's Place, which survives to this day.
