Two Lime St ladies on the frontage of the Great Western hotel one holds a laurel sheaf and a classic head at her base, while the other has a small crocodile on her leg.

Lovely. I'm just hoping the cross (for St Peter's Church) in the pavement is reinstated. That church was part of my heritage.

This is at the foot of the 16th earl of derby`s tombstone in Liverpool Cathedral. Anybody know the story of the eagle and child,all I know is there are a few pubs by the name in various parts of the country including the Liverpool one which has been demolished.
