John Williams AKA Mersey Mouth wrote a story about the Axeman.

All his stories are worth a read and he also has a book published.:handclap:
Nice pic of the Atlantic pub.
Had some great nights in there. :PDT11
I have a vague memory of the tartan photographer Gerard, but my memory if failling on that one. I think I was always half shot when I got into there anyway, and I was always arguing with one of my mates about something or other:PDT_Aliboronz_24:
Hi all
In relation to what buildings are standing today, does anyone know where the Merseybeat pub stood?
It is listed as 56 Park Street.
Wotcha Daisychains, yep the 'Beat was in Park st. it was built late 60's, and was knocked down in the 80's due to subsidance. It was closed and knocked down in a week. It was my neighbors local, he went on holiday on the Saturday, came back and went for a pint, and walked past where it stood before he realised it was gone!!!:PDT_Aliboronz_24: It was nt a bad little ale house.
There's a doctors and a clinic on the site now:034:
A godlike looking pub!

I would of taken a pic when down there, but It was too shadowy.
The Dockers Club, Edinburgh park, Townsend lane.
The Canon. Townsend lane.
I wanted to go to the Canon after the game tonight but my mate couldnt be bothered walking down that far so we only got as far as the Elm House, where they only had Stones on which is awful. I think the Winchester is the best place on that stretch of Townsend Lane.
Carisbrooke and Stuart Hotel, both Walton off County road.
Some pubs of Stockbridge Village. I was up there yesterday.
Theirs a Barley Mow In Wavertree too.:PDT_Aliboronz_24:

The Park, Walton Breck Road. Opposite the Kop End of LFC.
That pub always has too much shadow on It.:(
Hi everyone, has anyone out there got any news or photos of The Queen Victoria, King Street Garston. Would love to see them. Does anyone remember The Walton Trades and Labour Club on Rice Lane, had many good nights there, especially when there was a Derby on.:PDT_Aliboronz_24:

I recall, there was uproar over that plot of land. Is that the one that backs onto toys r us??
Apparently the land was sold for uner 80,00 and there planning to build a tower like the Beetham.
Insider dealing was suspected, And why not!!??
Sh*t, I'd've bought it myself.
Its not what you know...
The Oakfield and George, both Anfield.
I remember drinking in the King Eddy in 1970 when I was serving my apprenticeship for H.C.Wooliscrofts in Dutton Street just in the next street.
Trade was slow then, I think.
Hello.do's anyone have a photo of the globe,I'm told it used to be in Islington.Thanks.Ted

Not been passed that yet...is it a listed building at all? Someone should write to the Echo demanding an enquiry.
I want to write an email to Casa Del Cocodrilo and the Echo asking but still thinking on what to write.
enquiries@casadelcocodrilo.com Is the address to send to anyway If anyone wants to write too.
The Echo says It's a grade 2 listed building.

Things like this make me want to learn black magic.
[QUOTE=Max;56685]Rest In Piece Famous Elephant.[QUOTE]
It's almost certainly resting in pieces.
Black magic, Max?
You know the same firm have painted the Masonic in Lark Lane black.
I don't know how they get away with such things.
(Well I do! It's all down to money).
Yes, the Elephant is Listed, but English Heritage allow Liverpool City Council to grant applications which I suspect wouldn't happen elsewhere.
For instance, 6 telephone masts on the Listed ABC cinema in Lime Street.
