I don't know why I missed your reply.
Yes, I did know about the Wheatsheaf being the symbol of the Co-op, but I was just giving out a little check-list of the Co-op in case people remembered various things, and not a history, so perhaps that bit came out wrong.

So sorry.

Again this was taken a few years ago on the mersey. Its the middle part of a ship that was being built being pulled along by tugs. The mersey is great for seeing unusal things sailing in it.

I remember my dad telling me he and his cousin threw a sickie at Laird's one sunny morning and went rowing on the lake all day, even fell asleep in the sun and his eyelids near stuck.
