The Inklings (one of Merseyside's longest established writers groups) are in desperate need of a new venue.
We have had the free use of the Roscoe Room in Liverpool's Central Library for more than twenty years and now, due to the library's extensive refurbishment program, find ourselves out on the street, forced to use whatever temporary accommodation we can obtain. Currently we meet in the Blackie (at a price), Great George Street (alongside the Chinese Arch): Wednesdays 1pm to 3pm - new members always welcome.
Can anybody assist? Totally un-funded we seek help - funding/sponsering etc - in our search for low cost, convenient-to-Central Station and the Gyratory, premises - sixty percent of our members are in the upper age bracket and many are from the Wirral.
