800 Years of Culture and Heritage
RSS offers an easy way to keep up with the Liverpool forum throughout the day. RSS feeds automatically update as posts are added across the site, alerting you to the posts as they occour.
Details of what RSS is, and how you can get an RSS reader, are below. Here's the RSS Feed. Click on the image below:
What is RSS?
RSS is short for Really Simple Syndication. It's an XML file that can be read by special feed reading software or a web service you can use from your web browser. Put the address of our RSS feeds into your reader, and it will display the latest posts.
How to use RSS feeds?
To view our RSS feeds you need software called a feed reader or aggregator. Feed readers you could try include:
| For PC users : | FeedDemon |
| For Mac users : | NetNewsWire |
| Windows/Mac/Linux : | Amphetadesk |
| Web-based reader : | BlogLines |
Once you have installed a feed reader you can add the Forum RSS feed by clicking on the RSS feed link. Setting up a feed differs from one aggregator to another, but it usually involves copying the URL of the feed (from the address bar on your browser) and pasting it into the reader.
