when I was a kid, the Landlord of the Winslow Hotel in Goodison Road was Norman Greenhalgh, he used to play for Everton, His son was David.
Think he took over the Bromborough Hotel, later.
Remember riding our bikes around the snooker tables upstairs! [circa 1956?]
Also nice memories of the Clock in Richmond Row, I worked in Whitneys, the Ford Garage in Scotland Road,with Billy Roberts, his Mum and Dad had the Clock.
Lunchtime at Whitneys consisted of chips from the chippy and a visit to the Ship? next door to the garage! [late 60`s]

Originally a Welsh methodist chapel, it became the Derby Cinema then a car showroom before becoming Coynes funeral parlour and latterly a fireworks wholesalers.
