Paul Sudbury's Gardens of Stone Full Version will be screened at the L/Pool history society in Shaw Street, Sunday 16th November at 2pm.Debz will also be there promoting her book Liverpool's Italian Family's.
Hope to see you there.
Hi I've just come across this reference to the gardens of stone as a relation of mine came from Christian St we are quite suprised as we have heard this only as a slang reference. I come from Glasgow originally the rest of my family are from Christian St and surrounding area of liverpool, are the gdns of stone featuring the area I mentioned and if so do I need tickets to the showing as my brothers and two uncles would be coming as well. looking forward to seeing this as I have heard so much about the place and people I will be able to see for my self these memories that my family use to talk about
Hi Tom
We're looking forward to seeing you and the lads too. Should be good
Welcome aboard by the way.
A good afternoon was had by all. Paul, well done mate, excellent piece of film.
The D'annunzio's enjoyed themselves immensely.
Maybe Ged will do a good write up ?
I took some photos of the screening but haven't got them on my pc as yet. Lots of people came up to Paul and I at the end, there's always good feedback. Most notably, quite a few people who have seen Terence Davies film said it wasn't a patch on Paul's which is praise indeed and coming from Livepool Historical Society and Athenaum members too.
Is Debz going to post her pics up, saw her taking a few too.
