I've recently opened a website at www.pubpix.fotopic.net
You'll see quite a few local pubs on there (Although there are loads more still to come)
I want to get as many Merseyside pubs on there as I can, and that is a time consuming task. If anyone would like to contribute at all, drop me a line at

Of course, any material provided will be credited to yourselves.
Good comments Gerard, don't blame you one bit mate for feeling like that and absolutely everything you've said is correct from your perspective but Ron'll have a different tack, like he did advertise it in the paper and on the homepage, and just like my stuff, it's demoted to the St. Joseph's archive page as and when new articles are put on by him, it's just that I had a book or model or Paul had a screening coming out every few months or something and not a one off - anyway, enough of that - it all started because of you and an ex-pat having a barny over how run down the area had become and I thought the scottie press guest book had never been so lively with true 'straight from the heart' comments which is what it's all about - go on the forum now and it can be a week before anyone comments. This board is far more lively and has a lot more amateur sleuths and photographers finding out lots of interesting facts and figures. Keep your photies and comments coming Gerard, they are great.
There's that Grafton move of yours again...........

The Feathers Hotel on Vauxhall Road (corner of Paul Street) this morning fri 26th Jan, being prepared for demolition. Pic by Ron Formby of the Scottie press.
How it looked in 1912, addressed as 106-108 Vauxhall Road. It was originally called the Liver. Pic courtesy of Freddy O'Connors book 'A pub on every corner' vol 3.
