Err - I was only kidding with 7 you know. I only went to 2 as unlike a lot of people on here, I didn't keep getting expelled.

Who's were they?, i'm guessing Greg's dad without looking and is probably just due to the site they were uploaded from (flickr or photobucket etc) being down or something.

Interestingly, all of the ones I went to are still active after 50+ years...

    Southbank Rd.
    Duncombe Rd.
Quarry bank - renamed, but still there...

Perhaps it was because the area was "filled in" with houses just after WWII and the schools might be newer?

My sister's grandkids also went/are going to the same first two schools... we walked alone, but they get escorted/taken in a car...

Is there really more chance of kids being abducted now than there was in the 50's?

    Thanks az_gila.

I only actually went to 2. Bishop Goss (which still stands under a different use)

and St. Gregory's (became Campion) which was demolished last year.

Ex North Liverpool Academy, Priory rd, (formerly known as Stanley park Comp) demolition has started.
Another end of another of an era.
So many generations of Anfield families went to this school.

Seems a shame,as the building looks in decent enough condition, but since when, has that mattered! (Are they building another?)

Not sure what's happening. There was talk a long time ago about the site being used for new LFC plans - there was talk of a hotel going there once, but that's gone to the wayside.
The school has been replaced and is the newly built North Liverpool Academy on Heyworth st.

I can't think what they'll put there on Priory rd.

    probably a Tescos !

(we'd be made up with that as we havn't got a decent supermarket in Anfield).

It's a pity they couldn't keep the bell tower, possibly placing it at the site of the new academy? Great pics Lindy.

We must be the last people on the planet without a Tescos ! I think every district has one but not us. Our nearest is Old Swan.
