Hi i worked in old st johns market it was a heck of a job walking up Charlotte st with two sides of bacon or 112 lb cask of butter on your shoulders from the bottom to elliot st entrance but the laughs in that place especially at xmas when all the Fagans were out swiping the geese and turkeys off the stalls (after getting the kids to cause havoc) what a place what people, what a laugh, there will never be another like it, jim black .
