Highland Home, Hill Street: The roof has gone and workmen are smashing the wall down. I think it will be gone by next week.

Proud Scouser, with a dabbling of Welsh and Irish.
bore yourself silly at my Flickr page...anorak central!
The Wellington closed down at the start of this year, I more or less used to live there for the past 12 years ( even worked behind the bar at one point for a few months), along with The Dryden on the opposite side also gone.
8 years ago there was The Travellers Rest and the Edge Lane now at the Old Swan end theres no pubs at all, from 5 to 0 in a few years ....**** shame.
Took these on the Dock Road the other day
A Few Photos From This Week...
The Eagle - Vauxhall Road / Blackstock Street.
Closed this morning but looked like it was about to open for trading. Still very tidy and clean looking.
The Glasshouse - Vauxhall Road.
I think it's a safe bet to say this pub's gone for good.
The Grapes - Knight St / Roscoe St. City Centre
Open for trading last week, not the tidiest looking pub, but you can't always go by outside appearances with pubs such as this.
The Clarence - Everton Road, Everton
Another ex-Higsons house that's seen better days.
Dick Jennings - Hill St / Mill St. Toxteth
Another pub shuttered up...
And lastly... A pub I'd never seen until today, and with what I'd say is a rather unusual name...
Non Pareil - Marshal Place, Vauxhall.
Can anyone shed any light on the story behind this pub / pub name.
Hope you enjoy this little walk around a few old Liverpool ale houses.
The Botanic Pub.....the barrel has run dry...
