    Re:Dingle
Has anyone else noticed the sandstone pillars at Shorefields school. If you look at this map there was a path to East Dingle on Dingle Lane/Dingle Mount.

I don't believe these pillars are associated with the school, but could easily be the entrance pillars to a large house.

They were the gateposts to the house called East Dingle.
Dingle Vale Secondary School was built on the site.

Thanks for confirmation as I thought the gateposts may be from East Dingle...glad to see that at least something has survived of the Dingle mansions.

Nice engraving of Childwall Hall, Jona. I must get a copy of same. The pic is a reminder as well that engravings from that time were often hand colored but were originally simple black and white jobs. Here you can see the hand coloring the way the green lapped over the frame of the picture.

It's the Redbourne Hotel - well it 'was' - I'm not sure whether it has closed down now as a Hotel. Only time I've been there was to pick up my uncle in my old XR2 amongst all the Mercedes

Tis OK Paul. Thanks for the reply.
I am 100% certain it is. I spent some 5 years in there, from the age of 10 to 15.

It was Aymestry Court before it was a hotel.
