Danke, nein!
I simply thought the picture to be reminiscent of Lilli Marlene, standing at the main gate.

The picture is powerful and thought provoking , the way good photography should be . I see her as a child sadly . Her looks and features are still there , her eyes and cheekbones and mouth ..
She's thinking nothing at that very moment , because in order to do what she does , she has to switch off .
Excellent portrait Gerard , an honest non judgemental picture of Liverpool life .
You're not supposed to be so blind with patriotism that you can't face reality. Wrong is wrong, no matter who says it.

Ged- How do you capture the emotion in peoples eyes in your pictures ?
Bob Nasca
My reply to Bob....
I talk with people Bob before I take their photos....I try and get to know them...
I look at them eye to eye and they know who they are dealing with....
I hope that makes sense..?
Bobs reply to me..
It really does. That's what makes your photos so great. Thanks.
Excellent image, Ged. You've definitely captured the 'critical moment' -
Haunting and humbling at the same time.
Jean-Pierre Magloire.

Gary Liggett.

A View of Rome and down to the river Tiber taken from the Dome of St. Peter's Basilica, Vatican City. We had to climb the 320 steps to reach the top, believe me it is far more than 320 and the last few are so narrow with a rope to pull yourself up. At one point you walk through a door to find you are part of Michaelangelo's ceiling, looking down the people are like ants. Once at the top the trip is all worth while as you see the brilliant views across Rome.
