Nice to see Jackie Downey mentioned. She and I were very good friends at one time but lost touch. She used to direct our parish amateur dramatic group here in London. She is also a very fine soprano singer and she sang at my sister's wedding. I often accompanied her on organ or piano. I would love to find out where she is now.

Well, I have caught sight of her once or twice near to the road where her family are from - so I presume there are still some of her family around.
My nan lived in Harwood street (car park now) the other side of Whitefield rd from the Rock Streets - she insisted liverpool 6 was in Everton (well she wasa toffee)
Mrs Mills ran a boarding house for apprentice Liverpool players near the Flat Iron - can't remember the street. I remember that Ronnie whelan and Alan Hansen lived there for a while. I picked up Alan's girl friend from Lime street (this when he was still in the reserves) I played Rugby and ended up in Australia - never seemed to have found my way back
I'm very pleased to tell you that I found my friend Jackie Downey on Facebook and we have linked. I sent her a message and look forward to catching up.
