    Nothing wrong at all.

WHSmith have become sell outs and are In the L1 for business opportunity.

I remember when I was a kid and WHSmith was great for books, now It's only good for Magazines I can't get In newsagents or supermarkets. Now theres more Biographies of useless people than anything good.

After reading this, I popped into the Liverpool One branch yesterday and it does seem rather cramped downstairs. Didn't go upstairs.

Hi, not sure why they've done that. Are they going to have more than one shop maybe? Church Street is looking quite empty and what will happen to Renshaw Street when Rapid move out? It'll become a ghost town like London Road a few years ago!

Because they don't need and can't afford a large shop.

I was in Rapid a couple of days ago and asked the assistant...They're moving into the old George Henry Lee buillding...but it won't be for a couple of years
because M&S are moving in there temporarily while there building is refurbished...

Went in the W.H.Smiths yesterday - what a shambles! The Arts books were in the Cookery section and the Arts magazines in the Travel section. Not only small but disorganized!

This seems to be a very popular place for people taking a break from shopping
and would be an ideal place for some entertainment

I was underwhelmed by the new Smith's too, but after a day or two I thought, hang on, all I used to go in there was for magazines, books, cards or CD's. They've still got the few mags I bought, Waterstones had a better selection of books anyway (good for Bold St then), there's a new HMV next door so no probs for CD's, and plenty of other card shops in town. All in all, WH Smith's loss, not mine.

Oh and yes, Greg's Dad, those new steps have become my favourite dinnertime spot, at least when it's not been raining. The area needs more undercover seating for when it's wet tho - how about moving the seats in South John St back a bit, under the walkways?
