Oh, how weird, talk about irony. I was talking to a neighbour recently and he said a family member and friend came out of Central Station onto Bold St and saw a cake shop, decided to go in after going into another shop. They thought it was 'quaint' as the people where dressed in old style clothing. When they came back, it was gone and a 'modern' shop was there (think he said Waterstones). They were so curious they asked around and a few weeks later were shown a photo of an old cake shop, exactlly as they'd seen. He said it is in Tom Slemen's book about the shop (think that's his name). Spooky or what

If it was Waterstones, that was never a flower shop.
In fact, I don't think there were flower shops in Victorian times.
    Flower sellers, yes.

The one in Tom Slemen's book is Waterstones. I think there are some other "experiences" on the net.

I didn't say a flower shop, i said a cake shop. It isn't time travel, more a time shift (well thats how it was explained to me). I would LOVE to see somewhere as it used to be, i think it would not only possibly prove time shifts but it would be so cool

Sorry, I thought you said a flower shop.
We can know what streets were like through photos and street directories, etc.
If Slemen knew even the basics of Liverpool's history, he'd know that what is now Waterstones was Cripps, furriers and costumers, for over a century, and is a rare example of an original Victorian shop front.

Tom Slemen does not recommend Shiverpool ghost walks.

Merseymart does not recommend Tom Slemen.

Tom has already had emails from dozens of angry readers saying they'll now put the free giveaway Merseymart & Star newspapers in the recycling bin, as they only flipped through the pages to get to Tom's Local Mysteries article!
Haha, always noticed an ego boost like this when he's been axed somewhere or stops going to a place for his talks.

    There always recycled stories anyway.

I wonder If he knows that I am a shadow person. I put a black suit and It changes my molecular structure making me very thin, flexible and able to stick to walls.

One of my main sources for the Bold Street piece in 800 Years of Haunted Liverpool was http://www.parascience.org.uk/articles/time.htm. Ann Winsper from the group was very helpful and supportive.
