Why are they using giant towers for homes!

Places like the old World Trade Center had allkinds in them.

The first 6 or 7 floors are going to be offices; the rest will be luxury apartments. This should fit in nicely with the CBD developments.

The footprint of the building is so small that it would be inpractical for it to be a shopping development. In any case, there will be plenty of shops in the emerging CBD redevelopment- not to mention Church St and Paradise St which are no more than 10 mins walk away.

I would like to see that white bare concrete multi-storey car park removed opposite. It is on the quay of Princes Dock - an appalling act. Also remove large sections of the wall too, to open up the docks to the public.

The MSCP is no beauty. However, it is not made of bare concrete. The columns are clad with facing panels and the balconies around each parking floor are painted metal.

I agree with you about opening the dock wall and increasing the accessibility of the dock and waterfront from the rest of the city centre.

They should of tried building that otterspool tower instead of cancelling it.
