Default George Robinson-Bumblies aka The Cryin' Shames

George went to my school, tho. a few years my junior. A bass player with the Bumblies and The Cryin' Shames. (The 'Bumblies' name had to be dropped because of copywrite problems) He did pretty good as a bass player, lives in Snowdonia and drives a couple of Caddy's (not at the same time) Still tours with his wife as The Cryin' Shames, as the name was his. Another Scouse from a working class background that did good in the Mersey Sound Boom.

Did a guy called Ritchy Routlege play in the Cryin Shames or am I getting mixed up with another group?.

Yes Brenda, Richie was their rhythm player. If you need any more info let me know. George went to the same school as me, tho. a couple of years behind, so did Norm Eastwood, who wed George's sister, he was in the same class as me. (Eastwood became their manager or something) Tata.

I only know Richie because he lived near me in Everton and we must have only been about 15 or something. I always remember him being one of the first people to wear ice blue jeans and jacket, he looked dead cool.

I think Bobby would be flattered that he still makes things roll along.
