St George's day
Next Wednesday 23rd April, I bet hardly anyone realises. I noticed on Friday that there were English flags tied to a number of lampposts on West Derby Road, probably something to do with Churchills butchers there. I'm sure he was told to take them down a few years ago, but glad he's sticking to his guns. There were Irish flags on Vauxhall Road for weeks after St Patricks day and nobody seemed to object.
St. George's Day is celebrated by several nations of which Saint George is the patron saint, including Catalonia (Spain), England, Portugal, Georgia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of Macedonia and the Gora, It's also my sons 18th Birthday too
