    Default Ticket to Ride...

This fine image was sent to me by Ken Latham, with whose blessing I share it with you.
He wrote, "I took the photo in October 1968, the two lads were school friends and we would often go to town on a Saturday, I would invariably carry a camera with me, a habit that I got from my late father who was an avid photographer.
Just to give you a little background I worked in the city at Lucasís Hobbies (a very famous model shop in Tarleton St) in the early seventies and then Ellis Brighams (Mountaineering shop) in Bold St for many years I also had a spell working for Knibbs (Fiat) in Upper Parliament St and returned from a weekend climbing to find the whole area razed to the ground due to the Toxteth riots."
