As a kid all around me in Liverpool 8 was Victorian. Then the 1960s wipe out of the Victorian part. Then they were demolished and the 1980s bungalows came. These may go soon and another phase. I have seen 3 Liverpool 8s so far and maybe a 4th. All in one person lifetime. What district in the world has been rebuilt 3 or 4 times in such a short time?
The public money over 50 years that has been poured into the area is scandalous. Money poured down the drain. Each time the working class occupants destroy their own environment.

It would have been much, much cheaper to have given them houses to own and then it is up to them after. Well they sort of in the Council House sell offs. The flats never were taken into account.
