    Default Princes Avenue through time

Princes Avenue under snow 1981. I have a good one of this scene with the lad on the plinth holding a baby buggy. It's on a slide unfortunately, which I currently can't scan (anyone please got a cheap neg/slide scanner for sale/loan?)

Being pedantic. Princes Rd is to the left and Prince Ave to the right.

Deprived of its unique dockland waters Liverpool
becomes a Venice without canals, just another city, no
longer of special interest to anyone, least of all the
tourist. Would we visit a modernised Venice of filled in
canals to view its modern museum describing
    how it once was?

Yeah yeah, i know. But 'Princes Boulevard', as I guess the name of the whole shebang is, sounds so pompous.. We generally referred to it just as 'The Avenue'.
