    Default Building the Anglican Cathedral

Photographed in 1942. Rushworth's organ builders is in the foreground.

A wonderful image from my collection of photographs by Edward Chambré Hardman

Photographed by me in the 1970s from the window of 6 Huskisson Street

How things were in the environs of the Cathedral. The 'Davy Lou' (David Lewis Hotel) is on the left. All of these buildings, except for the tall bank in the middle distance (also seen on the extreme left in the top photograph) have now gone.

A very strange 'artist's impression' from 1910 of how the cathedral was predicted to look when completed..

More like it- another 'imaginary view' but the tower lacks the little pinnacles we have now.

The radically different design Scott won the competition with.
