    Post Greengrocers In Liverpool

Does anyone know if it's possible to find who owned/ran Greengrocer shops in the early 1900's in Liverpool.

Gore's Street Directories, in the 'Trades' section, under 'Greengrocers'.
In the 1930s, for instance, there were hundreds!

    Oh, you're in Australia!
Do you have a specific query?
    I'll look for you.

Waterworths were about the biggest greengrocers, but I don't know how far back they went.

Pegrams was also a common, but now defunct, chain of greengrocers and general supply stores in Liverpool. Long since gone though..............................

Default 1901 Gore's diectory. Gt Howard St.

Anthony Morris at 354, about halfway between Blackstone St & Townsend St is the only greengrocer to be listed.

Microfilms are sometimes awful to read.
