Does anyone know if it's possible to find who owned/ran Greengrocer shops in the early 1900's in Liverpool.

Gore's Street Directories, in the 'Trades' section, under 'Greengrocers'.
In the 1930s, for instance, there were hundreds!

Waterworths were about the biggest greengrocers, but I don't know how far back they went.

I am looking for what was probably a small greengrocers in Milford st, I think on the corner of Milford & Grt Howard streets. In about 1901.

Pegrams was also a common, but now defunct, chain of greengrocers and general supply stores in Liverpool. Long since gone though..............................
Anthony Morris at 354, about halfway between Blackstone St & Townsend St is the only greengrocer to be listed.
Microfilms are sometimes awful to read.
