Re: Jamaica Street Leading to Grafton Street sign: The building this is on currently has a For Sale sign on it. It's one of the better warehouses around. There was another sign which went missing a couple of months ago. I thought these were two of the largest signs left.
There's a nice one in Bootle at the junction of the Dock Road and one of the streets leading off it which proclaims "County Borough of Bootle" thereon, somewhere by the L20 boundary. I forget exactly where, but I liked it and it must be several decades old.

I posted this one in another thread in March 2007. It went missing a few months later. I've noticed lots of signs have vanished in the last couple of years.
That's the one!
Now-who nicked it?

Great pics all
I noticed last week just how many street signs Sefton Street has! I think we counted 5. But I am sure there are more.
love the look of this one

I believe some of my photos were magically disappearing and then appearing again the other day.
Don't know what it was all about, but hope you can see them now.
I noticed that this sign has the 21 as part of the original design, as also do some of the Bootle ones in this thread.
All the Liverpool central and south signs had the postal district number painted on in red, on plates that obviously weren't designed for the addition.
