Thanks all for the general comments about the Flickr Pool; I wasn't all that sure how much of a success it would be, but we seem to be doing quite well! Many thanks for all contributions!
cheers. it's the strange shaped one with the smaller slot. I know that sounds a bit dodgy, but it's a post box...honest!
I need to go over the water and take photos of the area my gtgt grandparents where living when they moved from Wales. so I can have a look if it's not too far from Tranmere/Rock Ferry.

I'd read that this sign was rare as it is the only street sign with Orrell on it.

Most of the 'klondyke' area is going so I though I'd best get a photo before it disappears. sorry it's a bit blurred, it was blowing a gale and I could barely stand upright.

    Default Allerton Rd Woolton

Interesting carved street name in Woolton. Allerton Rd was so named as it was originally the road to Allerton Mill

This is slightly off topic, but did you know you can turn Flickr, google images etc... into a 3D viewing wall

    http://www.piclens.com/site/ie/ (for internet explorer )
    http://www.piclens.com/site/firefox/win/ (for firefox)

All you do is download the small file, let it install, re-start your internet software, eg firefox and then go to flickr etc.. click on the grey triangle that now appears when you highlight a photo and the whole thing turns into a 3D slideshow.
(the software only needs to be installed the first time you try it)

The software was recently shown on the BBCs 'Click' programme.
