    Default HARBRECK HOUSE FAZAKERLEY

HI I HOPE SOMEONE CAN SHED SOME LIGHT ON THIS MYSTERY,
HARBRECK HOUSE OWNED BY THE MYERS FAMILY STOOD IN WHAT IS NOW BLUEBELL WOODS FAZAKERLEY, I HAVE SOME PICS OF IT VIA BRITISH HISTORY ONLINE AND THE HARDMAN SITE, THE HOUSE AND GROUNDS WERE BOUGHT BY THE COUNCIL IN ORDER TO BUILD FAZAKERLEY HOSPITAL AROUND 1898 HOWEVER THE HOUSE STOOD UNTIL 1958 BEING USED AS STAFF ACCOMADATION, WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS WHY IT WAS DEMOLISHED AS NOTHING HAS EVER BEEN BUILT ON THE SITE AND ALSO IF ANYONE HAS SOME PICS OF THE AREA INCLUDING THE ESTATE BEFORE THE HOSPITAL WAS BUILT PHEW!!!
    THANKS DEBZ

If nothing's been built on the site it was probably demolished simply because it got too expensive to maintain.

i suppose so although there were a few other nice little houses dotted around the same area and they have all gone also. the next thing to be built was the prison in the early 90's seems a pity to lose all the farms and cottages for no apparent reason.
