The Green Bus cafe

Readers from Speke will remember the bus/cafe at the terminus in Eastern Avenue, which was there for years. I enjoyed many a cuppa in it. The bus was quite a rare survivor from the 1930s I think and was eventually saved for preservation. What happened to it since I have no idea

I remember the bus when you could go inside to buy stuff rather than later wehn you had to standon the crate and get served thru the hhatch at the back window .When i was a kid in early 70's the place had an almost magical quality about it like you entered another time long before the harry potter days.the air was somehow different inside .great memories
