Default 24 hours to go back in time

Ok you can have just24 hours to go back in time to any place in Liverpool or the surrounding area. where would you choose?

I would go back to ealy 1900`s Scotland road, to marvel at the hustle and bustle of those days. admire the many fine pubs and buildings, and see the court housing. wander to the docks to see the river in real action.

I'm with Gnomie, somewhere around the beginning of the 20th century near the docks, with a pub on every corner and sailors from all corners of the world about no matter what the time of day or night.

I would go back to 1904 to see Spring Heeled Jack jump from rooftop to pavement in William Henry St. (alledgedly!)

I used to go to the Cavern but I quit in 1958 when the Mardi Gras opened in Mount Pleasant. It was way better, served booze, toilets didn't stink like the Cavern ones always did. Before the Cavern was a cellar club at 19 Slater St. which was run by students, the musicians were all amateurs but it was enjoyable.

If it only had to be one place, it would be Granby Street any time before 1966, but I'd have to be allowed to take a photo of the Princes Cinema which was next to the school because I know someone who used to go there, and every time he sees me he asks if I have a photo of the 'Granby' which was its original name.

    Can I have two goes?

Ringing the bells at St Luke's Church, Bold Place and recording them before they crashed to the ground in WW2. The last two ringers that rang on the bells have now passed away so another link is now lost with the church.
