I had a boat trip over to the Isle of Man today and saw the last section being floated along by three tugs. Will post some pictures in the morning.

It brings back great memories. I was a Cunard Yank and of course the Britannic, along with so many others; Sylvania, Carinthia, Ivernia, Saxonia, MV Georgic, Reina del Mar, Pacifico del Mar (?), the Empress liners
. . . . can't believe we took everything for granted. It never occurred to us that it would all come to an end so abruptly. Those Days of Excitement, Elegance, Glamour, Ostentatious Grandeur. We we all Cunarders then.

    MY CUNARD JUMPER

'Twas just an old blue jumper,
    With the words 'Cunard' in red;
But it served as winter warmer, and
    A pillow for my head.
It saw the watch and stood the wheel,
    Till coldness of the dawn,
From masthead to the keel and aft,
    Where future dreams are borne.

I wish that old blue jumper,
With its 'Cunard' words in red,
Was on my shoulders even now,
    To share the past unsaid.
To bear the chill of passing time,
    And comfort me from sin,
When I was in that jumper,
    With the future looking in.

Oh well, difference between sea and Pacific. So size does matter - I knew it did . . . thank God. Hey, cheers, Phredd

The foot walkway may be the old one, but the road bridge is new, having been constructed on-site to specific designs.

Looks nice, and nice photos too, I beleive the first ship is due on the 2nd of September, but it will probably anchor in the usual place rather than use the terminal.
