Jackson “Jacko” Nesbitt has entertained shoppers for more than 25 years by strumming a makeshift cardboard guitar from his spot in Williamson Square.
Staff at Sign-a-rama, in Tithebarn Street, have now given him a new custom-designed board in the shape of an electric guitar, with his nickname written in striking letters across the front.
David Metcalfe, 25, from Crosby, who designed Jacko’s new instrument, said: “We gave it to him as a Christmas present.
“We used to see him walking past every day with his cardboard guitar, so we decided to make him a new one. He is a local legend.”
