    Default Jacko goes up market

    [IMG][/IMG]
Bumped into Jacko today carrying a new guitar, he told me he only had to sing a couple of songs for it to a young fellow who had made it. He said he was having trouble with his old one when it rained, but this one is plastic coated. We were standing by the Eleanor Rigby statue so he graciously sat by her so I could take a photo.

Superb mate and Jacko looks well. He is nearly even fingering the chord of G.

Nice pic gregs dad, no surprise though, all your pics are great.

A LIVERPOOL busker who treats his audience to songs played on a cardboard guitar is now sporting a trendy new model.

Jackson “Jacko” Nesbitt has entertained shoppers for more than 25 years by strumming a makeshift cardboard guitar from his spot in Williamson Square.

Staff at Sign-a-rama, in Tithebarn Street, have now given him a new custom-designed board in the shape of an electric guitar, with his nickname written in striking letters across the front.

David Metcalfe, 25, from Crosby, who designed Jacko’s new instrument, said: “We gave it to him as a Christmas present.

“We used to see him walking past every day with his cardboard guitar, so we decided to make him a new one. He is a local legend.”

Ha ha - if he had done that he'd be playing - 'Cold finger'.
