That's a great idea. It would be a nice feature in the grounds of the new academy.

I think they did it with the school in Lawrence Road.

I hope the school has had the same idea as you Ged. It would be lovely to see the tower kept in the grounds of NLA.

I'm watching and waiting for the front of the school to come down. I think they will start on it next week as they have done both the sides of the school. I hope they save the poor little tower. Hope someone will have the foresight to save it and place it as a feature in the new academy.

Oh yeah, I'd forgotten the Tescos and Kirkby debate. Will they or won't they ! Tescos go there I mean.

The school will soon be just a memory. The middle pic is where the tower was. They took it down today.

Priory rd. the whole of the front has now gone. Just the Utting ave side remains but will be flat by the end of the week I expect.

    Utting ave side view.

I was talking to one of the workmen who reckons it is going to be a car park for the football traffic.
It will serve both LFC & EFC I imagine.

It's a pity they left the old condom dispenser on the wall there.

Kirkby used to have a Tesco store in the town-centre. It used to be the old Irwins' shop between the cake shop and the chippy, facing the market
