There is one on Derby Lane. on the row of shops over the road from the Albany Pub. That looks like a family run shop, plus its been there for years.

There used to be a Sayers on the corner of the road, by the crossing / half way down.
Where is this one you are talking about Spike, Mart
Little Row of shops on Derby Lane. Across road from the Albany Pub.
There is a Dones Bookies there and its next door to that. The old Post Office was on this row.

Isn't it called the Derby Lane Sandwich Bar now and it's directly behind the bus stop? I do remember it being a cake shop in the past, although I don't know what it was called.
I've just found a picture of where it is on wikimedia commons, which seems to be a collection of post box photographs!. It's inbetween Juels & Gems and Betfred.

Can't remember the name sorry...
To be honest, never frequented Cake Shops much !
Oh yeahhhhhhhh
Sorry i'm a bit slow in replying.it was a cake shop in prescot road called Cook & Sons.
Whereabouts on Prescot Road? Do you know any of the shops nearby.
Hi Edwardo, it could be the one by St Annes School, Green Lane end of Prescot Rd.
There was a "Cooksons" shop, but that wasn't a Baker's.
Cooksons was opposite the Masons pub, then moved to St Oswalds St, it was a clothes shop.
Thought i'd bump this up as Mart has added to his Old Swan site since many will have first seen it.
