Can I apologise in advance if I posted this in the wrong section, but I did look and couldn't see, a relevant section.

What I am looking for is pictures of St Gabriels Orphanage in Liverpool, Does anybody remember the place and does anybody have any photos please?

If this is Knoll Park, there are two threads devoted to it.

Yes I think you may be correct Phil, (I need to check) but I think Knoll Park was previously St Gabriels. I have read the thread on here in relation to Knoll Park, and very interesting it is. Someone asked about St Gabriels on my little forum, so I think I will put a link to the thread in relation to Knoll Park for her.

    Thanks for your response

    (and yours Lindy)

    regards

There was a Church of England orphanage in Windermere Terrace called St Gabriels. I think this closed in the 1960s and was bought by Belle Rive school. They sold it for redevelopment a few years ago and now it's converted into Luxury Flats.

Attached is a photo taken whilst conversion work was in progress in 2006
