Was going to give It a try, but I have to get two trains, starting at St Michael's to Sandhills, then to Omskirk from Sandhills, then a cycle up a country lane to Burscough since I ain't getting a third train. Says 56 minutes of train travel and thats daft since It's only on the outskirts of North Liverpool.

Makes Max want to smash, cannot wait till I can drive.

I can cycle to Widnes faster than that.

Went to Tarbuck and Halewood Instead.

Well I went to Burscough and all I got was a photo of a tractor and an electric and telephone pole In a field of wheat.

Winds were too heavy so I had to pedal extra and couldn't find anything.

Just been told harverts won't be there till August as the Inspiration for going there was because of Maddie Digital of Flickrs photo.

Couldn't find Martin Mere either despite looking at the signs.

To find Martin Mere, go over the 2 bridges, one the canal, the other the railway in Burscough and take a left down Redcat Lane until you come across it some way down. It's near to Windmill animal farm, also well worth a visit.

Aw crap, I forgot about the Windmill pic I saw on Flickr too. I found the canal but lack of scenery except for boats and stuff put me off.

I'll go next month when the farms harvest so I don't waste another 5.20 on a train ticket.

I think I've gained a 4th sunburn too, I would use suncream but I never think I'll be that long haha.

Default Naked man hanging out of the window

took my Nan to my aunt's today and we had to change buses at Ormskirk.
as we sat waiting to go out I spotted this out of the bus window

on the way back I had enough time to go and get a proper set of pics before the Lpool bus came in.

I'm sure I've seen summat similar before, will have to check the net see if it's a specific graffiti artist, unless someone already knows?
UPDATE there's one in Bristol done by Banksy. this is a copy.

Yeah, the L postcode continues as far as Burscough/Rufford before the Preston (PR) Postcode takes over.

Ormskirk is L39 & L40, but it doesn't make Ormskirk part of Liverpool.

That's true, it's not even in Merseyside but the Liverpool streets site is doing all the L postcodes.

Default Ormskirk, New years day 09.

The parish church with tree and nativity scene.

    The North side.

    Looking down Church Street.

Up Aughton Street towards the Clock Tower.

A serene and peaceful town centre as dusk falls on the first day of the new year.

The Eureka pub on Halsall Lane.
