Hi Ged, I went to Daisy St school every day but not as a pupil, but to play
football in the playground between 4pm and 6pm It was supervised by teachers, Lads played football and the girls took dancing classes. I think they
call it extra curriculum now. Anybody from any school could join in. This was in the 1940`s.

    Hi Ged,
My husband's Auntie lives in Harebell st & we visited a few years ago, my first time to England.
Your pic is great but I thought Harebell wasn't as level as it appears to be in the pic.

    Cheers

    Hiya Browniescorner.

They are all quite steep as you'll know, leading down towards Commercial Road.

    Default Flower Streets

    Hi to all,
I am new to this site, so I am looking forward to it.
Regarding Daisy St. school, I went there and as far as I am aware it was split in two. Protestants in the top part nearer Stanley Rd and Catholics at bottom, further down the street.
We had our own playgrounds and outside loos, we did go back after 4p.m. for activities.
